Day one- 

Class start time- 10am 

On the first day we will cover nail anatomy such as diseases, nail plate abnormalities, and tool damage and how recognize it and prevent it from happening. 

Universal sanitation, client consultation, ergonomics, colour theory, tools, and how to set up your desk. We will also cover possible client conflicts and professional behavior and how to handle stressful situations. 

The difference between all gel systems including acrylic, acrygel, gel, and gel polish. How to use the ugly duckling nail system and cover entire product line. 

How to properly use your tools and perform a safe beginner Russian manicure using your e-file with a natural nail overlay and a simple salon style. 

Day two 

Class start time- 10am 

I will demonstrate a safe nail removal on one of your fingers, you will proceed to do the remaining 4 nails.  After the nail plate is free from product I will show you proper form Placement. We will be covering two shapes- coffin and almond. There is definitely an art to form fitting, please be prepared to draw and write detailed notes!! 

You will then be asked to apply the forms and sculpt the shapes on your own hand. Two fingers in French and two fingers in one color of choice. 

Day Three

Class start time- 10am 

I will demonstrate a full set from start to finish to give you an idea of what a set of nails will look like in a salon environment. 

You will then preform a full set on a model while I shadow you. 

We will spend a lot of time on perfecting finish filing in this class, be prepared, I will be picky!!!

To finish off the class I will show you proper lighting and different angles for your photos.  

Day Four

Class start time- 10am

In the morning I will demonstrate a fill on a model. After a short break you will bring your model in (the same model as class 3) and preform a full service from start to finish with me shadowing you.

Day Five

Class start time- 10am

Salon Day!! This is my absolute favorite day, you will have the opportunity to preform 4 services today on clients to get an idea of what a busy day in the salon is like. You will be doing a full set, a fill, a removal and a gel polish manicure. I will shadow these appointments and jump in when necessary, try your hardest to fly solo when you can, this real world experience can’t be beat! 

After 5 classes are completed you will be awarded a certificate and have a lifetime of support and guidance from myself. I will require that you send me photos of your work so we can help fine tune your style and help with any problems you might be having. 

$500 non-refundable fee is due upon registration to hold your place in class, once you are registered you will have access to the student portal on my website. You will find all the digital information, videos, and extra certification in this area. Your kits will also need to be purchased on the website as well. They will be shipped directly to you or you can have them shipped to Mersana for pick up.
